InVision Learning passionately creates web based training solutions that engage learners, improve performance and help organizations grow. InVision is currently seeking an Art Director to create leading-edge interactive multimedia and web-based eLearning applications.

The Art Director/ Flash Artist will lead and inspire a team of designers and production artists and execute cross channel/digital work. The ideal candidate must possess excellent facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills. This position will lead the conception, design and execution of:

Your responsibilities will include
 
  • Work with team of programmers, writers
  • Visually support learning content
  • Developing design concepts and user interface designs
  • Formatting online course content
  • Developing Web page layouts
  • Creating Web-based illustrations
  • Creating animations
  • Creating simulations to improve learner understanding of course material
  • Building prototypes of design explorations
  • Analyze requirements, diagram user profiles, develop UI paradigms, and offer highly usable interface solutions
  • Effectively communicate high-level design concepts and detailed functional requirements
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate and provide required design deliverables across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have extensive graphic arts, multimedia design and Web page design skills

 
  • Strong graphic design skills including UI design and versatile illustration skills
  • Proven knowledge and multimedia experience HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, and other image and page layout tools.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate
  • Extremely motivated, creative and imaginative
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills and an eye for
    detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Creating technical and environmental illustrations and animations using Maya or 3Ds Max a plus
  • BS/BA degree

Posers, prima donnas and ego-trippers need not apply.

 
  • Develop, design and format rich-interactive content, web page layouts and exploration prototypes
  • Create web-based illustrations, animations and simulations that improve a learners understanding of course material
  • Design deliverables throughout all phases of a project and deliver them on time
  • Create compelling and user-friendly courses, templates, landing pages, websites, microsites, online advertising, HTML emails, and select offline materials
  • Effectively communicate high-level design concepts and detailed functional requirements
  • Analyze requirements, diagram user profiles, develop UI paradigms, and offer highly usable interface solutions Manage a project thru ALL stages of development: concepting, designing, revising, bug testing, and production building.
Requirements:
 
  • 2 to 3 years experience
  • Superior skills in graphic design, user interface design, typography and illustration
  • Advanced understanding of building interactive content with the following software:
    Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of interactivity and well-designed layouts
  • Extremely motivated, driven and a creative problem-solver
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in various stages of development and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Creating technical and environmental illustrations and animations in Maya or 3DS Max is a definite plus

Interactive eLearning Internship - 02/07/2010

Description:
InVision Learning, developers of eLearning courseware, located in Southborough, MA, has Spring and Summer internships available to local college students interested in a career in Interactive Multimedia or development.

As an intern, you will assist in the development and production of eLearning custom courses, templates and other training support.

This internship requires a passion for interactivity, design, learning and thinking outside the box as well as an ability to collaborate in small to medium sized teams consisting of world-class eLearning experts and content creators.

 
  • Assist in the development, designing and testing of new eLearning courses and content
  • Researching and presenting emerging trends in eLearning, interactivity and design
  • Collaborating and sharing ideas with the team
Requirements:
 
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student pursuing a college degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Interest in a career in eLearning
  • Interest in or experience with Flash (ActionScript a Plus)
  • Interest in or experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Interest in or experience with animation software such as Maya or 3DS Max a plus
  • Proven academic excellence and/or extracurricular passion in eLearning, graphic design, interactive media, computer science or a related field
  • Comfortable taking direction and willing to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Focused and detail-oriented
